How to Log Outreach/Reach Out in Flourish

In this video, we'll show you how to do data entry for outreach in Flourish. Click the play button to learn how to log outreach! If you prefer to read instructions, scroll under the video to see a step-by-step tutorial.

How to Log Outreach:

  1. From the home screen, click on the DATA ENTRY button.
  2. Click on the button with hands in a circle that says Log Member Outreach.
  3. Click on START ENTERING DATA. This pulls up a blank line with some empty fields to fill in.
  4. Under "Outreach Given By", start typing in the name of the person who performed the outreach, then find their name on the drop down list and click on it. If the outreach was a phone call, this is the person who made the phone call, not the person that answered the phone.
  5. Under "Outreach Received By", start typing in the name of the person who received the outreach and click on their name from the drop down menu.
  6. For "Date of Outreach", click on the blue calendar button and select the day on which the outreach was performed.
  7. Under "Type of Outreach", select one of the choices from the drop down list for what kind of outreach this is. These options include phone call, internet, face to face, a card, and other options.
  8. For "Outcome of Outreach", select what the result of the outreach was. Possible choices include spoke to the person, nobody answered the phone, left a message, it was the wrong number, and other options.
  9.  For "Duration (in minutes), type in the number of minutes that it took the outreach to conclude.
  10.  For "Notes from the Outreach", this is where you would type in any important information gathered during the outreach. For example, if you successfully called a member and they told you that they would be attending the Clubhouse next week on Wednesday, entering that information here is helpful so we can know when to expect that member back in the Clubhouse. Other information such as stating you called the wrong number or you left a message with a relative of who you tried to call is also helpful.
  11. Once you have the information put in, click the SAVE AND ADD ANOTHER button to complete this line of data entry. If you want to add additional outreach, begin entering another line of data. When you have completed all of the data entry, click the SAVE AND EXIT button. You are done! Good work.
