Multi-Entry Screens

Instructions and videos for how to use Flourish

This is an article explaining what the multi entry screens are for and how to use them.

Multi-entry screens are a type of screen that are used easily enter in data throughout flourish. They are very common and easy to use most will look something like the following:

The first field would almost always be Contact relate field that will let the use select a contact that will be attached to the record. So for example the contact we would want from this multi-entry screen is whichever users daily attendance we are logging.

Date of Attendance - this is a date field in which we will be able to enter the the activity took place

Time in/time out - These two fields are date-time fields that will help us enter in the specific time a user clocked in or out

The most useful thing about multi-entry screens is that we are able to input multiple records at a time, hence the name multi-entry screens. To do this simply press the  SAVE AND ADD ANOTHER button on the bottom of a record and a another row with the same fields will appear.

If you would like to delete the last entry entirely you can simple click REMOVE LAST ENTRY. The SAVE AND EXIT and EXIT WITHOUT SAVING button are also pretty simple as both do as the name suggests.

Caution!

  • It will take a long time to save if you don't use "Save and Add Another". This is because saving an attendance record updates fields across several modules.
  • Try not to save more than 5-10 records at a time
    • It might take over a minute for it to save to to the number of records it's updating.
  • The Save and Exit button saves all of the entries you have made and leaves the multi-entry screen so only do select this option when finished.
  • The Exit without Saving button disregards any entries made and leaves the multi-entry screen. Only pick this option when you are sure that you do not need to log the entries you have made during this session.
